About

My goal with woodworking is to create furniture and objects that will be useful and beautiful for generations. I am “self-taught” by many passionate woodworkers who were generous enough to leave what they know in books and videos.

My work is done almost entirely with hand-tools, for their practicality and joy of use. Using planes, chisels, saws, knives and other traditional tools connect me with my materials and create an intimacy that is central to my practice. Working with accuracy and care, my work aims to amplify the colors and textures of beautiful woods, and the storied forms of traditional furniture.

My workshop is located on the unceded shared territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Gastown, Vancouver. If you’re in the city, contact me if you’d like to come visit my shop :)!

Special shout-out to Paul Sellers, Rob Cosman and the late greats David Charlesworth,  Jim Kingshott and Paul Krenov for getting my passion off the ground.
